Discover the true potential of your mobile phone camera.
I designed and organized this workshop to show how powerful smartphones can be when you approach them with a photographer’s eye. Drawing on my experience in creative, street, event, and conference photography, we will focus on the same essential elements professionals use with dedicated cameras: composition, light, framing, perspective, symmetry, and visual storytelling, through practical exercises both indoors and outdoors.
You will also learn how to edit and retouch your photos using free professional apps such as Snapseed and Lightroom, turning everyday shots into strong, polished images.
DAY 1 – Here’s what we’ll cover
• Mastering composition & lighting: Learn how to frame your shots, use natural light to your advantage, and work with shadows to create visually striking photos.
• Unlocking the full potential of your phone’s camera settings: Get to know your phone like a pro — focus, exposure, and advanced controls that can take your images to the next level.
• Enhancing your photos with mobile editing: Outdoor exercises followed by image analysis and editing using the Snapseed app directly on your phone. Learn how to refine color, contrast, texture, and light to strengthen your images.
DAY 2 – Creating images that stand out
• Photos for social media, marketing, or artistic projects: Whether you photograph products, people, or everyday scenes, learn how to create images that capture attention and communicate a clear visual message.
• Understanding key photography principles: Analysis of both corporate and artistic visuals in color and black-and-white, including composition rules such as the rule of thirds.
• Individual photo series project: Work individually to create a small series of topic-related images, then select and refine your strongest shots.
• Editing with Lightroom Mobile: Introduction to the Lightroom app — how it works and how to use it to professionally edit your photos, adjust tones, color, and atmosphere, and finalize your series.
I keep the group size small – 5 to 8 participants maximum – to ensure you get the personal attention you deserve. This workshop is not just about taking better pictures; it’s about capturing moments, telling stories, and creating visuals that truly resonate with your audience.
By the end of the workshop, you will feel confident using your mobile phone as a professional creative tool, able to produce impactful, high-quality photos for personal projects, your work, or your brand — and to edit and retouch them using professional mobile apps.

Why This Workshop?
In this workshop, I share the essential principles I use in my own professional work – how to notice light, structure an image, choose what to include (and what to leave out), and create photos that feel intentional rather than accidental.
You will practice a lot, receive personal feedback, and learn how to transform ordinary scenes into strong images, then refine them through editing and retouching on your phone. This workshop is for anyone who wants to move beyond snapshots and create photos that are clear, expressive, and visually compelling, whether for communication, creative work, business, or personal projects.
TRAINER – ANJA STRELEC
Anja is a documentary filmmaker, audiovisual director, photographer, and experienced visual storyteller, working across formats from short social media videos to feature-length documentary films. She has collaborated with various TV channels, the European Commission, NGOs, UNICEF, and Special Olympics among others and her films have been screened and awarded at international festivals.
Alongside her filmmaking work, she leads hands-on workshops that help participants develop their visual voice and storytelling skills. Her teaching style is individual-oriented and practical – so by the end of the workshop, you already know how to confidently use your new skills.
